A real time saver: Text messaging system alerts attorneys to cancelled depositions

Las Vegas, Nevada - March 20th, 2005 - Again demonstrating innovation and creative customer support Litigation Services and Technologies has added SMS text messaging to its online deposition calendar system. The new addition saves attorneys wasted trips by sending text message notifications when depositions are cancelled.

The addition of the SMS text messaging system to the current online calendar system creates another useful tool to simplify and ease the litigation process. At the time a deposition is created an attorney has the option of requesting either email or SMS notifications be added to the calendar item. If the calendar item is updated, a notification is sent by email or text message. Notifications will be sent if the calendar item is changed in any way. SMS notifications are only sent if the calendar item is confirmed or canceled, prevented wasted travel time if the deposition will not be taking place and the attorney is already in transit to the deposition location.

An upcoming innovative customer service package, the online attorney support system, will be available in March for 24/7 access. The new online system will allow attorneys and law firms to request depositions, manage deposition calendars, manage and order documents, track orders, manage witness lists, view document depository indexes, and set up automatic email notifications for schedule changes and document updates.

During 2006 the online system will be developed further to offer a full suite of online services to attorneys and law firms. Access to the online system is provided at no cost to the attorneys and law firms and will allow 24/7 access to important documents, transcript orders, and the deposition calendar. Future enhancements include document uploading and conversion, online transcript viewing, and same-day transcripts orders nationwide.
